The remains of the saint are kept in a large chest placed under the alter of the Chapel. It is a placed visited daily by many people.

In 1978, the furnishings that Pedro Poveda had in his office in Madrid, in his Alamenda 7 Street headquarters, were brought to this center thus recreating the atmosphere where he spent his last years. We can see his office desk with a big Crucifix; a painting of the Immaculate Conception that presided his place of work all his life; a painting of the martyrs that he used to have next to his telephone; a chiffonier and a rotating piece of furniture, his sofa, chairs and some personal items along with his books.

In another room we can see a library with all the books saved from that time. A third room is dedicated to the publications of the Teresian Association. In these two rooms we can also see pictures and mementos from the original founding group, especially from Josefa Segovia.

One of the lateral chapels, blessed on January 31 1997, is dedicated to Saint Pedro Poveda. It is decorated with a bronze work done in 1996 by the architect and sculptor Naso González. It consists of three relieve panels each presenting a meaningful aspect in the life of the Saint.

An inscription reads under the central panel reads: “Lord, that I may think what you want me to think, that I may want what you wish me to want, that I may act as you want me to act. This is my only desire.”

Next to the Guadix panel there is a piece of corián that reads: Chapel dedicated to Blessed Pedro Poveda.

Central relive. Pedro Poveda as educator. The Basilica of Covadonga and an image of the Santina . Before this image Pedro Poveda conceived his educational projects.  The Colegio Mayor Padre Poveda, the University City and a panoramic view of Madrid.

Left relieve. Linares, the native town of Blessed Poveda. The baptismal font, in the Parish of Santa Maria, where he was baptized. Finally, the old coalmine completes the reminiscence of the place.

Right relieve. Guadix, where he was ordained in 1897 and started his evangelizing and social work.

The stain-glass windows (1999) in this chapel are the work of artist Manuel Ortega Pérez de Monforte, the winner of the contest to decorate the stain-glass windows of all the lateral chapels in the Cathedral. The motif of this work is the Virgin Mary with the Child and some angels.

As seating elements the Chapel has six jamugas made of beech wood in a walnut tone.  Wrought iron gates close the Chapel .

There is a magazine rack, also made of wrought iron, where leaflets on Pedro Poveda and other materials are placed for the public to take and read. These are written in four languages: Spanish, English, French, and Italian.

The Chapel was inaugurated on January 31 of 1997. There was a Eucharistic concelebration with sixty priests presided by the Archbishop of Madrid, Mons. Antonio María Rouco Varela. The General Directress of the Teresina Association at the time, Arantxa Aguado, was present.
